Hygge, Denmark and far away 2nd Part

Netherlands

In the Netherlands, Hygge is called Gezelligheid. The concept is quite similar with some differences:

It is not centered only in coziness or comfort

Is more social

Out-doors is more important than in-doors

Norway

At Norway, they call it Kozelig. The concept is a feeling of warmly intimacy and togetherness

A meeting of friends sharing supper illuminated by candles and in front of the fire may be a good example of a Kozelig moment.

Canada

At Canada Hominess means a feeling of warm safety being at home together.

It has a community meaning

A state of shutting the door to be apart from the outside world

People must remember these feelings

Germany

Gemûtlichkeit is a sense of warmth, belonging and togetherness

All these concepts refer to coziness, comfort and enjoying in a togetherness situation

Although there are differences, as we described

But, what is sure that other countries with other cultures have their “Hygge” experience.

Surely a situation of coziness, togetherness, safety in a peaceful environment may be a universal enjoying feeling, but we can explore other ways related to different weather, historic and cultural situations.

As “Hygge” is intentional, we can go to find in each culture seeds of Hygge or better seeds of a proper way to wellness.

In your country, even in your city or town surely you will find “the seeds” for an intentionally build up experience of wellness.

We all are looking for a better life, so let’s walk, explore, find and share what you’ve found.

Share and propose among your community and friends wellness experiences.

You will probably find a new word to express that unique warm feeling for living it where you live.

Key-value interpretation

In the deepest of our heart, happiness call us from the first day

No matters where you live, because we all live in a common planet house, and we all are humans called for happiness.

Wellness is not happiness but opens the door to let happiness catch our life.
