John could make emerge sweet bluesy notes from his folk guitar.

Pam could support her voice with piano home-intimacy songs.

Both unknown musicians.

In that winter Pam for the first time had composed several songs, really charm. But hearing that studio first recording she had found that electric guitar provided for a session musician, was too heavy for her sweet-near-the fire songs.

So she remembered that afternoon when John was playing alone at the station, so alone that he didn`t notice Pam was hearing him. It was about 2 years ago in a little town in the Middle-West, not far from her hometown. But after that, she moved to a Los Angeles suburb. Pam didn’t know anything about that ignored folk guitarist; she only remembered her sweet feelings by hearing that guitar in a cold winter afternoon playing at the station.

Traveling all over the country looking for fame and money, they finally met thanks to common friends.

Pam obtained her first opportunity to record in an L.A. studio, but the first cut of that record was ignored by the audience

Going back home Pam heard sweets harmonies coming from a folk guitar. Incredible, but maybe? Oh yeah! he was there. Pam asked him for his name: John with little money in his pockets had traveled to a little town in a Los Angeles suburb, and stayed at home of a musician friend.

Immediately she imagined John sweet voice and guitar for a new recording of her first no successful song.

The next day John went to a record session for the first time in his life. All was new and a challenge for him.  Even though that very good song written by Pam, sounded sweetest and bluesy than ever with John's voice and guitar and perfectly harmonized with Pam’s piano and chorus.

A few weeks after the company launched the new version with Pam and John together and without the electric session guitar. The new version climbed up to US charts, 'till arrived at the first position. The song remained on the Top 3 for over 10 weeks.

This success tracked the whole Pam CD to the first position also (with the original Pam version of all the songs) and stayed on the Top 3 for more than 15 weeks and sold over 1 million copies in the USA for that first year.

The next year Pam composed about 8 songs for the first John album and he did compose a couple more. John sang most of them, but they found a beautiful way of singing together too.

This first John’s album was an immediately great success all over the US.

They began to play the entire West US coast with great success. Before Christmas, they had scheduled more than 20 shows all across the Middle-West, near their hometowns.

The next year New York called for them and the audience enjoyed their charm music in the NYC and East Coast best theatres for over 6 months.

Pam and John, good friends, begun solo successful careers crossing the Atlantic Ocean so many times in the next 20 years, offering several UK main stages concerts. People always asked for those first songs, until they were included in the regular song lists.

Recently Pam and John joined for a show with exclusively those first recordings, released 25 years before. Public and their sons and daughters sang, cried and danced in those still alive West Coast cafes on an extended tour. They edited those live shows with great success all over the world only comparable with those first records.

They still are the same old good friends from the beginning

They built up the marvelous stairway of share-win.
